"The most successful entries resolve the scale of the site and its relationship to the land, the sea, the vegetation and the big open sky. Veronica Herber's Landform exemplifies this well - her large installation on a hillside can be seen from the ferry (it is the teaser that ramps up the anticipation levels), and it looks like a large topographical map, or a target, or a weather map. Close up, its large lines interact with the land and make you really look at it, and it carves a winner out of that off-centre tree."
